I shall
prostrate before supreme preceptor Sri Adhishankara, who symbolizes
auspiciousness, fortune and happiness, he is the son of Devi Aryamba and
Shivaguru, he has lustrous face
resembles to autumn moon, he is most desirable, he is adorned in garland of
Rudraksha, his forehead is adorned in sacred ashes, vermilion and
sandalwood paste, he has great brilliance, he holds Dandam, he is attired in
crisp saffron garment. He is too compassionate, he has pleasing disposition, he
is divine personified in order to perform various Leela, he is eulogized by
eminent Yogis and Sages, he is pure, he is beyond human intellect, he is store
house of virtues, he is supreme bliss, he is unblemished, he is serene, I shall repeatedly prostrate
before Shankara who performs the essential function of Universe, he eradicates
miseries and sorrows, he is the source of Universe, Oh! Shankara, kindly
protect us. He is supreme bliss, he represents the ray of light of supreme
intellect, he is omniscient, he
symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, he is eulogized by illustrious Rishis and
Sages, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Paresha and Parambhramam who
protects the Universe and its living beings, I shall meditate upon Parambhramam/ absolute Bhramam, who is worshiped by the
whole Universe, he is omnipresent, he is the essence of Veda and Vedantha, he
symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, he is supreme ascetic, he guides us to cross
the unfathomable ocean of Samsara, he is beyond Thrigunas, he represents
Agamashsthra and he imparts the knowledge of supreme wisdom. He eradicates the darkness of ignorance and
imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, he is Parambhrama who represents the essence
of three Veda, he is eminent among Dhvijas, he eradicates miseries and sorrows
of the worshiper, he has supreme radiance, he symbolizes greatest philosophies,
and whoever venerates his lotus feet would be relieved from distress and all
kinds of illnesses. He is seated on the
majestic Mahayogapeedam, he is beyond human intellect, he is pure, and he has
no desires, he is void of chillness or heat or sorrow, he is supreme bliss and
has pleasing nature, hence Oh! Mortals, meditate upon the lotus feet of
Universal preceptor Shankara who can guide us to cross the unfathomable ocean of
worldly existence effortlessly. Oh!
Deva, I am completely worn out of conflicts and sorrows material life such as wife,
children, relatives, female associates, accumulated wealth, etc.. though it is
difficult abandon, kindly shower your compassionate grace on us. Oh! Prabho, I am completely exhausted with the
illnesses caused by phelgam, disappointments, confusion, fear, trepidation, heat,
breathing difficulties, intense pain caused by the wounds, joint paints,
misapprehension, etc.. kindly protect us from all the illnesses. I shall repeatedly prostrate before Shankara
who is Universal protector and illustrious Kamakodipeedadheesha, I shall
repeatedly prostrate before Jagathguru who eradicates miseries and sorrows of
the worshiper, kindly forgive all our mistakes and sins. Oh! Sharanya, who is
the safest heaven, I shall surrender at your lotus feet, he is the closest
companion of the people, he is worshiped by the whole Universe, he is Universal
preceptor, he is the source of liberation from repeated births, kindly forgive
all our sins and protect us always. Oh! Dhayalo, Oh! Bhakthavathsala, I am a mendicant
living on alms, you are Dhatha, kindly shower your compassionate grace on us,
Oh! Kripasheela, Oh! Shankara, kindly bless us with staunch devotion at your
lotus feet, Oh! Jagathguro, Oh! Bhavathbheshaja/superior cure, I am completely
worn out of numerous illnesses related to brain, evil eyes, heart ailments,
evil spell, infectious diseases, fever, water born disease, etc.. you are the
superior cure for all the illnesses, hence kindly eradicate all those illnesses
effortlessly, your auspicious grace are capable to make the penniless into
wealthiest, kindly eradicate sorrow of disappointment, lost, shattered, defeated, and perturbed, Oh!
Shankara, kindly protect us, your auspicious grace are capable to bring
immediate presence of Goddess Lakshmi.
Oh! Jagannatha, Oh! Deva, Oh! Mahayogi, I shall repeatedly prostrate before
you, I have no shelter place other than you, kindly eradicate the repeated
births and Jara, Janma and Garbhadhivasa Dhukham, I shall repeatedly prostrate before
Jagathguru who eradicates the darkness of ignorance like sunlight that removes
the darkness, he imparts supreme wisdom
and knowledge of self in order to protect the soul from the miseries and
sorrows of worldly existence, Oh! Shanakara I am not aware of recitation of
Veda or Vedanga, I know to eulogize you with my petite knowledge, therefore
kindly forgive my mistakes. You are my preceptor, you are Lord Shiva and Shakthi as well, you
are my father and mother as well, you symbolizes supreme wisdom and you are my
closest companion, you are my shelter place and you are my intellect as well. Oh! Deva, I am helpless to get out of the miseries
and sorrows of worldly bondage and worldly existences without your auspicious
grace. Oh! Dheshika, I am helpless to
cross the worldly bondage without supreme knowledge, therefore kindly enlighten
me with the knowledge of self with your blissful supreme light, Oh! Deva, I am helpless, I have completely
soaked in the worldly matters and chained with worldly bondage, kindly elevate
me from the clutches of worldly existence.
Oh! Prabho Oh! Shankara, kindly reside in the shrine like my heart, I
have shattered with intense grief and sorrow, you are the Lord of distressed
people, kindly eradicate all those grief instantly, and critical illnesses like
epilepsy, leprosy, infectious diseases, and water born diseases, and evil effects caused by spirits, which will disappear the moment of your
fleeting look fall on the worshiper. The
above are the glorious verses praising the splendor of Shankara who is the
Universal preceptor, whoever reads or listens to it with intense faith and
devotion would be blessed with virtuous offspring, appropriate companion as
wedded wife or husband, wealth, abundance of grains, long life, and good
health, ultimately nearness to Lord Shankara.
