I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishveshvara who is the Lord of the Universe, he is Mahadeva/mighty Lord, he is Thrayambaka who has three eyes, he is Thripuranthaka who is the slayer of demons of city of Thripura, he is personified as Rudra who is fierce as death/Kala, colossal fire at the end of deluge, he is Neelakanda who has blue throat, he is Mrithunjjaya who is won over death, he is Sarveshvara who is Lord of Lords, he is Sadhashiva who is eternal bliss, he is Sriman Mahadeva/mighty Lord who symbolizes wealth and opulence.

|| Poorva Pedika ||

I shall meditate upon Lord Ganesha who is the essence of Pranava, elephant faced with four hands, he has pot sized belly/Pichandilam, and he is the destroyer of all kind of obstacles.  I shall prostrate before the lotus feet of supreme Lord Shankara who is the essence of Shruthi, Smrithi and Purana/Veda and Scriptures, he is too compassionate, he is the provider of all kinds of auspiciousness to the Universe and its living beings.  I shall repeatedly prostrate before supreme Lord Shankara who is personified as Shankaracharya/supreme preceptor and Keshava who is personified as Badarayana and composed Suthrabhashya.  I shall meditate upon Lord Shambu who is consort of Goddess Uma/Umapathi and he is the preceptor of Sura, I shall meditate upon Lord who is the cause for the origin of Universe and its living beings, I shall meditate upon Lord who is decked in venomous serpents as ornaments, he is attired in the skin of elephant, I shall meditate upon Lord who is the Lord of animals/Pashupathi, I shall meditate upon Lord who has Lord Chandra, Lord Surya and Lord Agni as eyes, I shall meditate upon Lord who is beloved of Mukunda, I shall meditate upon Lord who is the safest haven to  passionate devotees and provider of abundance of boons, I shall meditate upon Lord Shiva who symbolizes auspiciousness.  Oh! Maheshvara I am not aware of any philosophies that impart the knowledge and faith in you, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Mahadeva.

Rishis speaks “ Oh! Sutha, who is profound in Veda and Vedantha, always immersed in the meditation of Lord Shiva, Oh! Munisaththama, Oh! Kripalo/compassionate, kindly describe the source of liberation from repeated births/Mukthi, kindly narrate the sacred hymns which is to be recited at all times on all days, and capable to provide Sarvarthasadhaka.”

Sri Sutha speaks “ Oh! Mune, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord who dwells on the highest peak of Kailasa, he is pleasing and he is the Lord of the Universe and its living beings, merrily explores through the dense woods and resides in the thick forest, he is pure and unblemished, he is the source of ocean of worldly existence, he is the essence of Veda and Vedanga, perceivable through the sacred hymns, he is worshiped by Vedantha, he is Shankara who is the provider of all kinds of auspiciousness to the world.   I shall certainly narrate those little bit of what I know about Lord Sambashiva which was requested by well pleased Shanmukha.  I shall sincerely prostrate before Lord Sadhashiva with gratefulness.  I shall request with palms joined to describe the source of liberation from repeated births for the living beings in the Universe.”
