Sri Vittala Sahasranama Sthothram – Padma Puranam – Lyrics and meanings 1 – 10

I shall meditate upon Lord Vittala with the sacred syllable ‘Kleem’, he is the Lord of Pandurangesha, he is Srisha who is the consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, he is divine personified, he is Sheshashayin who reclines on the serpent Shesha, he is worshiped by Lord Shambhu, he is the safest haven to the people who are surrendered to him, he is beloved of Shankara, he dwells on the sacred river bank of Chandhrabhaga, he has the luster thousands and millions of moon, he is the creator of the Universe and its living beings, he dwells as Prana in living beings, he is imperishable, he is eulogized and worshiped by Pundareeka, he is propitiating to his passionate devotees, he is highly pleased to virtuous people who are engaged in the Swadharma/duties and responsibilities prescribed in scriptures according to Varnna, he is surrounded by cow and  cowherds, he is the delight of young maidens of cowherds, he is unblemished, he takes immense pleasure in sporting on the sacred river Yamuna, he is supreme spirit dwells as soul in living beings, he is most celebrated, he symbolizes truth, knowledge and happiness, he is great illusionist, he is supreme spirit who is not perceivable through senses, he is mysterious, he symbolizes sacred texts, he has subtle form, he is the cause for Universe and its living beings, he is great cause of the Universe, he is the source of Universe, he is the basis of the Universe, he illuminates the Universe with his brilliance, his crimson colored feet resembles to lotus flower, his nails are crimson colored, he is Prabhu who is mighty, his lotus feet has auspicious symbols of his Kingdom, his ankles, thigh and shank are blue in color, his thigh resembles to plantain tree, he is brave, his attractive waist line is decorated with majestic yellow garments, his broad chest is decked in flower garlands, his hands rests on the slender waist line, he is decked in Shankha/conch and Padma/lotus flower, his magnificent navel has a lotus flower which is the dwelling place of Lord Bhrama,  he has beautiful line of hairs down the navel, his broad chest is decorated in Srivathsa, he is too compassionate, he is decked in Vanamala/garland made of various flowers from the wood, he has attractive shell/conch shaped neck, he has melodious voice, he is most desirable.
