Lord Shiva spoke “ The thousands of sacred names of Goddess Sri Durga  are most rewarding and superior in Thanthric scriptures, whoever reads or listens to those highly promising hymns would be relieved from all kinds of miseries and sorrows, it  will provide abundance of meritorious reward equivalent to  thousands of Ashwamedha Yaga, thousands and millions of Vajapeya Yagna, Goddess Mahamaya would get highly pleased with the recitation of the same, whoever reads or listen to these sacred names of Goddess sri Durga who is impossible to attain in Dhivi, Bhuvi and Rasathala,  and worship her sacred idol would be blessed with long life, happiness and excellence in speech with the grace of Parvathathmaja/daughter of Mount Himavan,  Goddess Durga will be highly pleased to people who reads or listen to those sacred names on regular basis with utmost faith and devotion, they would remain ardent devotees of Goddess Durga, they win over enemies and remains powerful,  impoverished who recites these sacred hymns for six months with utmost faith and worship Goddess Durga would be blessed with abundance of richness, childless couple would be blessed with virtuous offsprings and remain protected from the danger of still born,  recitation of these sacred hymns for  thousands of times would provide good good health and recitation for one year would provide  virtuous progeny, whoever recites or listen to this sacred hymns after lightening earthen lamp before Goddess Durga would remain sinless, recitation  of Ashtothara Sthothra with the prescribed rituals by Purashcharya for hundreds of times would provide Chathurguna/fourfolds of auspiciousness, Goddess Durga should be venerated  with Japakusuma, Kamala, Chambakam, Nageshvaram, Kadhambam and Kusumam, followed by prescribed rituals,  reverential gestures and offerings, it will provide Iccha, Gnana and Kriya shakthi with the grace of  Girinandhini/daughter of Mount Himavan, ultimately they will attain the supreme abode which is difficult to obtain, therefore let us  praise the glories of  Goddess Durga who is Shivapriya/who is the darling of Lord Shiva, let us meditate upon Goddess Durga !
