I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who is the son of Lord Surya and younger brother to Lord Yama, I shall prostrate before Lord Shanaishchara who was born to  Devi Cchaya and Lord Marthanda, and has the luster of lightning.


I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who is pleased to consume any meal mixed with Till/sesame seeds and powdered Til, he is fond of fragrance of Til, cake made of Till, he is highly pleased with Thilahoma/sesame seeds used as a major part of oblation, he destroys mental and physical afflictions, he is  highly delighted to witness the homage to ancestors with the Till, he gets pleased with the offering of rice made of sesame oil, he is pleased with any offerings made of Til he has supreme brilliance, he symbolizes radiance, he has the appearance of Adithya, he is charming and has lustrous form, he symbolizes truth and has profound knowledge in philosophies, he represents strict austerities and penances,  he is immersed in severe penance, he represents contentment and he is the provider of deep satisfaction to worshiper, he is passionate, he represents Trinities, he represents Thrigunas, he is fond of  earthen lamp of Til oil and destroys all kinds of perils of worshiper, he is fond of dances of celestial Apsaras Menaka and Thiloththama, he represents Thribhaga/3rd part of zodiac sign, Ashtavarga/positioned in rows of eight each, Sthoolaroma/gross cavity, and stability, he is eternal and he displays himself as Sthoola/massive and Sookshma/subtle, his lotus feet is venerated by Emperor Dhasharatha, he is eulogized with sacred hymns by Emperor Dhasharatha and he warded off ill fame of Dhasharatha, he is worshiped by Emperors and attained various boons, he guides Emperor Dhasharatha and fulfilled all his desires, he is Dhanurdhara who is wielded in bow and arrow, he has long beard and matted hair locks, he was eulogized by Emperor Dhasharatha with various sacred hymns and  attained various boons and all his desires were fulfilled, he was immensely pleased with the recitation of sacred hymns and worship of  Emperor Dhasharatha, he dwells in the Dhvadhsha and Ashtama positions in the planet, he is worshiped by prominent deities.
