Sri Amba Navamanimala Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Adishakthi/Parashakthi who is personified as Vani/Goddess Saraswathi, she has sweet melodious voice of parrot, she has long and beautiful curly hair locks resembles to swamp of honey bees, she is the destroyer of miseries and grief of all the living beings in the Samsara, she carries Veena and parrot in her hands, she is worshiped by all deities.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mathangi who attained half of the body of Lord Shankara, she has the complexion of blue lily, her eyes has the resemblance to the eyes of antelope, she is the protector of living beings and she is the initiator to wisdom and knowledge, she is Kamala, she carries lotus flower in her hands, she has the luster of lotus flower, she is unblemished, she is the symbol of all art forms, she is decked in lotus flower garlands,  she has gorgeous face that has the luster of snow, she is the symbol of wealth and adorn the abode of Lord Mukunda, she is compassionate, she is personified for the welfare of the deities and put an end to their troubles.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Adishakthi who has attractive lips that has the luster of Bimba fruits, she is the mother of the Universe, she merrily explores through the woods of Kadamba, she protects the virtuous people, she has large and high raised bosom, she is the savior of the righteous people who are surrendered to her lotus feet, she is the symbol of mercy, she represents the nine precious gem, she is decked in various precious ornaments and pearls all over her body, whoever worships her lotus feet would attain all the auspiciousness, she has large and high raised bosom resembles to golden vessels, she delightfully remains in the embrace of Lord Shiva, she is highly confidential, she is the slayer of demons Shumbha and Nishumbha, she destroys the worldly bondage, she is not attainable easily, she is the protector of distressed people, she is the protector of the Universe, she appears before the assembly of deities, she rides on celestial vehicle lion, she is the annihilator of demons and protector of deities, she is Himagirikanya/daughter of mount Himavan, she is compassionate and she has no desire, she is worshiped by deities, she is eminent in three worlds, she enthusiastically explore through the woods of Suradhrumavanam/pleasure gardens of deities, she is the essence of Veda, Oh! Devi I am not aware of any deities other than you.


Whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses of Navamanimala with utmost faith and devotion at the lotus feet of Parashakthi would be blessed with the eternal presence of Goddess Sri Saraswathi/Vani and Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi/Rama.
