Skandha continues “Oh! Mune, whoever reads or listens to the sacred hymns of Goddess Ganga would be relieved from wickedness and greed, and their sins committed by thoughts, words and deeds would vanish instantly, moreover the worshiper would remain beloved to Pithrus, he/she would remain favorite  to all the deities and Rishis, ultimately they would travel on the celestial vehicle to  the abode of celestials, they will live a noble life in the heavenly abode with all kinds of riches like various precious ornaments, luxuries and sumptuous meal, they explore merrily through the pleasure gardens of deities and live extremely delightful.  Vipra/Bhramin who reads or listens to these sacred verses in the early hours of morning with strict austerities on the day of Shraddha would be relieved from Pithru Runa, Pithrus will be pleased  and the worshiper remain beloved to Pithrus, it would please their Pithrus  soaked in downpour, Pithrus will be highly pleased to receive Pindakarma on the sacred waters of Ganga and remain satisfied for an year, whoever worships the sacred text of Ganga in their home would be relieved from sins and fears and the home would remain purified at all times, Oh! Agasthye, kindly listen to me carefully, worshiper should follow their responsibilities without any disbelief, if there is any doubt there will be no fruit,  water consecrated with the sacred hymns of Ganga would be treated as Gangajal, whoever reads or listens to these sacred hymns praising Ganga would be relieved from repeated births and the worshiper will not have to undergo the sufferings in the womb, it is highly propitious to read these sacred hymns on daily basis, it would help the worshiper to dissolve in her sacred water instead of other places.   The above marvelous sacred hymns were retold as Mukthi Beejakshara/source of Liberation by Pinakina who is ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu.  These are sacred hymns praising the glories of Jahnavi, it is highly propitious and provides the merit of holy dip in the sacred waters of Ganga.”

Skandha continues “The virtuous person who is freed from luster and anger, follower of strict Varnashrama Dharma,  recites the  glories  of Goddess Ganga would be benefited with supreme intellect, thousands of sacred names  of Ganga provides meritorious rewards equivalent to the sacred hymns of Goddess Gayathri, it  also provides profound knowledge in Veda and abundance of pieties, whoever read or listens to the sacred hymns of Ganga at the time of sunset  would attain the pieties of Gurushushrushanam/merits of service to preceptor,  whoever recite or listens to the glorious verses of Ganga Sahasranama would attain  the pieties  equivalent to Vedaparayana,  person who is an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu reads or listens to the sacred verses of Ganga would obtain devotion to Lord Shiva and in the other way around as well.  Whoever recites or listens to the glorious verses of sacred names of Ganga on daily basis would be blessed with the eternal presence of Goddess Ganga,  whoever reads or listens to the praises of Jahnavi who is worshiped by all the deities and Rishis, would be blessed with triumph in all endeavors and permanent happiness, Goddess Ganga is virtuous, endowed with supreme intellect and purifier of souls is eulogized by the preceptor of deities, it is needless to say that Goddess Ganga would be pleased with the recital of her thousands of sacred hymns and veneration with utmost faith and devotion.”

Skandha continues “whoever reads or listens to Ganga Namashasrakam would inhabit in community, people who resides in the community recites or listens to the sacred names of Ganga would get all his/her desires  fulfilled and there will not be communal riot, he/she will be not affected by the Thithi or Vara or Yoga Dhosha, he/she would be blessed with long life, good health and birth in superior clan, he/she would be freed from all kinds of calamity and troubles, whoever reads or listens to the sacred names of Ganga would be benefited with all kinds of Siddhi, Oh! Mune, it would destroy all the severe sins accumulated in various births, sins of Bhramahasthya,    illicit relationship, Bhrunahathya/killing of fetus, or mother or father, etc.. it destroys the sins of irresolute promises, killing friends, causing impediments to fire rituals, or killing of cow, stealing of wealth of preceptor etc…  Whoever reads or listens to the thousands of sacred names of Ganga with utmost faith devotion would be relieved from all kind of miseries.  It would destroy all kinds of severe illnesses, grief, distress and miseries, whoever reads or listens to the thousands of sacred names of Ganga with intense devotion for several years would attain whatever they yearn and relieved from all the sins, people who are uncertain minded, act against Dharma, deceitful, mischievous would be led to the path of righteousness.”

Skandha continues “ Oh! Kalashothbhava/who is initiated from the vessel, I have already narrated the thousands of sacred names of Goddess Ganga, whoever reads or listens to the above sacred hymns are  capable to obtain the merit of holy dip in her waters, her sacred waters are capable to eradicate all kinds of severe sins, it destroys all impediments in the life of worshiper, whoever reads or listens to these sacred names would be benefited with highly meritorious rewards, it has purifying properties in it therefore it is considered as superior among the hymns, whoever reads or listens to it with utmost faith and devotion would get all their desires fulfilled, worshiper would be benefited with Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha, and led a prosperous life, worshiper would be blessed with supreme intelligence, whoever reads the above sacred hymns during the hours of dawn, noon and dusk would attain the merit of performance of various Yagnas and dip in all the sacred waters, Bhramin whoever reads or listens to the above sacred hymns during the hours of dusk would attain the merit of observance of various austerities and fame, Oh! Mune, whoever reads or recites her sacred hymns while having dip in any waters, it is definite that Ganga who is Thripadha will appear in that water instantly, whoever prays for fame would be benefited with fame, and whoever prays for wealth would be benefited with abundance of wealth, whoever prays to get their wishes fulfilled would get their desires fulfilled, whoever prays for Moksha/liberation from repeated births would be benefited with that too.  Whoever reads or listens to the sacred hymns of Ganga thrice a day continuously for an year would be benefited with the serenity of mind, childless woman would be blessed with virtuous offspring, whoever reads or listens to the thousands of sacred hymns of Ganga with utmost faith and devotion, would not witness any premature death or untimely death, there will not be any accidental death due to fire or thieves.
