Nithya Sthothrani - Lyrics and meanings 31 – 40



|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||







Sri Hayagreevah Sthuthi: -

I shall meditate upon Lord Hayagreevah along with Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, who is the symbol of supreme intelligence and wisdom, he is unblemished and represents crystal in nature, and he is the embodiment of wisdom.


Sri Krishna Sthuthi: -

I shall meditate upon Lord Krishna who is the Preceptor of the Universe, he is the delight of Devaki, he is the slayer of Kamsa and Chanoora, and he is the son of Vasudeva.  I shall prostrate before Lord Govinda who is incarnated as son of Nandagopa, he was born to Vasudeva and Devaki.  I shall prostrate before Lord Govinda who is Supreme Bhramam personified in Gokulam for the protection of cattle, he is incarnated as Lord Krishna for the welfare of the Universe.  Oh! Hare, Oh! Murare/slayer of demon Mura, Oh! Madhukaibhare/slayer of Madhu and Kaidhabha, Oh! Gopala/Protector of cattle, Oh! Govinda/destroyer of perils, Oh! Mukunda, Oh! Shoure, Oh! Yajjesha/symbol of Yajja, Oh! Narayana, Oh! Krishna Oh! Vishno, Oh! Jagadeesha/Lord of the Universe, I am helpless, kindly protect us.  I shall meditate upon Lord Madhava/consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, who is eternal bliss, kindly shower your mercy on us.  Oh! Krishna, Oh! Vasudeva, Oh! Hare Paramathmane, I shall prostrate before Lord Govinda who is the destroyer of miseries and sorrows of the worshiper,  I shall meditate upon the child form of Lord Mukunda who holds his little lotus feet on his little lotus hands towards his lotus face, he is reclining on the leaf of Peepal tree leaf.  I shall meditate upon Lord Gopala who resembles to precious Choodamani, he is decorated with rich fragrant vermilion on his forehead, he is  decked in Kausthubham and various precious ornaments like nose pin and bangles, he carries flute on his hands, he is smeared in rich scented sandal paste all over his body, he is surrounded by the young maidens of Vraja.

Yekasloki Bhagavatham –

Srimad Bhagavatham is one of the great epic that depicts the various childhood pranks of Lord Sri Krishna who is born as son to Devaki but grown up and taken care by a Gopi  in her house, he was hurt by the wicked Poothana who tried to take out his life was pathetically died, he protected the entire clan of Vraja from the heavy down pour by elevating the Mount Govardhana, he killed Kamsa and freed his parents from his harassment, he caused the annihilation of entire Kaurava clan and reinstated righteousness, he protected the children of Kunthi.

Yekasloki Ramayanam –

Srimad Ramayanam is one of the greatest mythology which describes the virtues of Lord Rama who was strictly followed the vows of his father, exiled from his Kingdom Ayodhya and continued austerities in woods, he was chased a golden deer for Vaidhehi, in the meantime Vaidhehi was abducted by Ravana, while in a struggle to protect Vaidhehi from the wicked Ravana, king of bird Jadayu was mercilessly killed, Rama met Sugriva,  King of Kishkindha who was exiled from the Kingdom by his brother Vali, Rama entered into a peace treaty with Sugriva and battled against Vali,  Vali was  killed in the battle, later with the help of Sugriva and his monkey warriors a huge bridge was constructed across the ocean Sethu, Rama had fierce battle with Ravana, whole of Lanka was destroyed, Ravana and Kumbhakarna was killed in the battle.

Sri Rama Sthuthi:

Lord Eshwara to Goddess Sri Parvathi, “Oh! Rame, chanting the sacred names of Rama, Rama, Rama is equivalent to the thousands of sacred names of Lord Vishnu”.  I shall meditate upon Lord Rama along with Goddess Vaidhehi seated on the majestic gem studded throne constructed in the middle of marvelous hall made of precious yellow metal; he is surrounded by Rishis, Sages, Lakshmana, Bharatha, and Shathrugna.  I shall prostrate before Lord Ramachandra who is prominent in the clan of Raghu, I shall prostrate before Lord Vasudeva, I shall prostrate before Lord Krishna who is outstanding in the clan of Yadhu.  I shall prostrate before Lord Rama along with Lakshmana and Goddess Sita who is the daughter of Janaka, I shall prostrate before Lord Rudra, Lord Yama, Lord Surya, Lord Chandra, Lord Agni and Maruthganas as well.  I shall eulogize the glories of Lord Rama who is the symbol of Veda and Vedantha and auspiciousness, he has the luster dark clouds, and he is charismatic.  All the auspiciousness to Lord Sri Ramachandra who has the luster Parijatha, he is the storehouse of virtues; he finds immense pleasure in witnessing the lotus face of Goddess Sita.  I shall repeatedly prostrate before Lord Rama who is incarnated for the welfare of the Universe and in order to protect the distressed people and  provide prosperity.  I shall prostrate before Lord Ramachandra who destroy extreme fears and perils of his devotees.  I shall earnestly pray to Lord Rama and Lakshmana who are youthful, wielded in powerful shield, bow and arrows/Gadgi, they are valorous and have powerful arms to protect us.   I shall prostrate before Lord Rama who is wielded in powerful Kodhandam/bow and arrow which can reprimand the demons in the Universe.

35.1  Sri Vishnu Sthothrani –

Whoever recites the sacred names of Lord Vishnu such as  Achyutha , Anantha, Govinda would be relieved from all kinds of illnesses.  Oh! Achyutha, Oh!  Anantha,  Oh! Govinda,  Oh! Vishno, Oh! Narayana, Oh! Dhanvanthare, kindly remove all our illnesses.  Oh! Achyutha, Oh! Anantha, Oh! Govinda, Oh! Vishno, Oh! Dhanvanthare, Oh! Vasudeva kindly eradicate all our illnesses.  Oh! Achyutha, Oh! Anantha, Oh! Govinda, Oh! Sacchidhananda, Oh! Shvashvatha, I shall surrender to your lotus feet, kindly protect us.  Oh! Yajjesha, Oh! Achyutha, Oh! Govinda, Oh! Madhava, Oh! Anantha, Oh! Keshava, Oh! Krishna, Oh! Vishno Oh! Hrishikesha, Oh! Vasudeva, I shall prostrate before you kindly protect us.

I shall prostrate before Lord Ramachandra along with Goddess Sita, who is prominent among the clan of Raghu.

Hanumath Sthuthi: -

I shall meditate upon Lord Hanuman who is the son of Lord Vayu, he is adorned in gem decorated garland of the great epic Ramayana, and he is the annihilator of demons.  I shall prostrate before Lord Maruthi who shed tears of bliss with folded hands while listening to the splendid mythology of Lord Raghunatha, he is Maruthi who is the annihilator of demons.  I shall meditate upon Lord Anjaneya who is the son of Lord Vayu, he has supreme brilliance and he dwells under the sacred tree of Parijatha.  I shall prostrate before the envoy of Lord Sri Rama, who has the swiftness of air, he has supreme intelligence and shrewdness, and he is the son of Lord Vayu and he is chief of army of monkeys.  Whoever remembers the glories of supreme Lord Anjaneya would be blessed with intellect, power, courage, fearlessness, free from illnesses, clarity in speech and skill in the construction of words.   Lord Hanuman is the son of Devi Anjana and Lord Vayu, he is affectionate to Rama, he is  closest associate of Phalguna/Arjun, he have crimson colored eyes and he is valorous, he is the destroyer of sorrows of Goddess Sita, he brought life to Lakshmana and he is the destroyer of Dhashagreevah/Ravana.


Whoever recites the twelve sacred names of Kapeendhra/Lord Anjaneya would be relieved from the fear of death and attain success in all endeavors.  Whoever regularly recites or at the time of journey would be relieved from all the fears and attain success.  Therefore I shall meditate upon Anjana Nandhan/Lord Anjaneya, who is valorous, he is the destroyer of sorrows of Goddess Janaki, he is the commander of monkey warriors, and he is the slayer of demon Akshakumara and horrified the whole of Lanka.

Thrimoorthi Smaranam –

I shall prostrate before Lord Divakara/Lord Surya who represents trinities,  Lord Bhrama in the early hours of dawn, Lord Maheshwara in the hours of noon and Lord Vishnu during the hours of sun set.

Hakaradhi – Panchadeva Sthuthi: -

It is definite that whoever recites the sacred names of Lord Hari, Lord Hara, King Harischandhra, Lord Hanuman, Lord Balarama in the morning hours would be protected from all the perils.

Panchadevi Sthuthi: -

Whoever remembers the glories of Goddess Uma,  Goddess Usha, Goddess Vaidhehi,  Goddess Rama and Ganga Panchakam in the hours of morning would be blessed with all the auspiciousness.  Whoever remembers the names of Panchakanyas such as Ahalya, Dhraupadi, Seetha, Thara and Mandodhari would be protected from the severe distress.

Ashwaththa Sthuthi: -

I shall prostrate before the Ashwaththa/Peepal tree, who is the King among the trees, which represents Lord Bhrama as its root, Lord Vishnu as its middle portion and Lord Shiva as its top portion respectively.
