Nithya Sthothrani - Lyrics and meanings 21 - 25

I shall prostrate before Goddess Durga who is the mother of the Universe, she is the slayer of demons Madhu and Kaidaba, Dhoomralochana and Chanda Mundasura as well.  She is the slayer of the pride of demons Rakthabeeja, Shumbha and Nishumbha.   I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Goddess Durga who has eight hands, she is the slayer of demon Mahisha, she is wielded in Shankha/conch, Chakra/wheel, arrows and trident, and she dwells in the hearts of Yogis.

Whoever meditates upon Goddess Durga would remain fearless and peaceful with all the auspiciousness, even the intellectual’s falls prey to illusion, she eradicates poverty, miseries and sorrows; she is compassionate to the distressed people.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Narayani who is the symbol of auspiciousness, she is Shivaa, she fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, and therefore I shall surrender at the lotus feet of Thrayambika who has three eyes.   I shall prostrate before Goddess Narayani, she is the safe haven of the distressed people who are surrendered to her lotus feet, and she destroys the worldly bondage of her passionate devotees.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Durga who dwells in all living beings, she is powerful and remover the fear of her devotees.  I shall earnestly pray to Goddess Durga to destroy all the perils, enemies, illnesses and worldly bondages, Oh! Akileshwari/Goddess of the Universe kindly fulfills all our desires and you are the safest haven for us.  Oh! Parameshwari kindly bless us with long life, wealth and intelligence, Oh! Maheshwari, kindly shower all kinds of auspiciousness to us.

Soundarya Lahari –

Lord Shiva remains powerless and motionless in the absence of Goddess Sri Shakthi, therefore veneration or recitation becomes fruitless, so the celestial couples are worshiped by Lord Hari, Lord Hara and Lord Bhrama.

Mahalakshmi Sthothram – ( by Lord Indra)

I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is wielded in Shakha/conch, Chakra/wheel and Gadha/mace, she is seated on the majestic Sripeedam and she is worshiped by deities.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is seated on the celestial vehicle Garuda/King of birds, she is the slayer of demon Kolasura, and she eradicates all the sins of her worshiper.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is omniscient, she is the provider of abundance of boons, she is the destroyer of wicked people, and she removes all the miseries and grief of her worshiper.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is the provider of Siddhi/supernatural powers and supreme intellect, she is the provider of Bhukthi/devotion and Mukthi/liberation from repeated births as well, and she is the symbol of Vedic hymns.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who has no beginning or end, she is primordial/Adishakthi, she is Maheshwari/Goddess of the Universe, and she represents Yoga and she is attainable through Yoga practices.    I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is invisible and she has miniscule form, she is fierce, she is powerful, she carries the entire Universe in her womb, she is the destroyer of severe sins.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is seated in lotus flower, she represents Parambhramam, she is Parameshi and she is Jaganmatha/Mother of the Universe as well.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi who is attired in majestic white silk garment, she is decked in various precious ornaments all over her body, she is the cause of the Universe and its living beings therefore she is the mother of the Universe. 

Whoever listens or recites the above glories verses and eulogize the glories of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi with utmost faith and devotion, would be blessed with abundance of pieties known as Siddhis/supernatural powers and Kingdom.  Whoever recites or listens to these verses once a day would be relieved from severe sins, whoever reads twice a day would be blessed with immense wealth and grains, whoever reads thrice a day would be protected from enemies and  blessed with the eternal presence of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi.

Saraswathi Sthuthi :–

I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Saraswathi who is the provider of abundance of boons and fulfils all the desires of worshiper, I shall earnestly pray to provide us supreme wisdom and intellect.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Saraswathi who is majestically seated on a marvelous white lotus flower, she carries divine musical instrument Veena in her hands, she is decked in white flower garlands and she is attired in attractive white silk garments, she is worshiped by Lord Bhrama, Lord Shankara , Lord Achyutha and all the deities.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Mathangi/who is the daughter of Sage Mathanga, she carries gem studded Veena in her hands, she is gorgeous, she has beautiful melodious voice, and she has attractive limbs  has the luster of gem Indhraneela.  I shall prostrate before the Mother of the Universe, who has four hands, she has the luster of moon, her large high raised bosom is smeared in vermilion and various rich fragrant pastes, her eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower petals, she carries Pasham, Angusham, bow and arrow made of flowers in her hands.  Oh! Matha, who has the luster of  Emerald/Marathakam, she is Mathangi, she is  enthusiastic, she dwells in the woods of Kadamba, I shall earnestly pray to Goddess Mathangi to shower her auspicious gaze on us.  Victory to the daughter of Sage Mathanga/Mathangi,  Victory to Goddess Sri Mathangi who has the luster of Neelothpalam, Victory to Goddess Mathangi who takes intense pleasure in Music, Victory to Goddess Mathangi who is fond of sweet voices of Parrot.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Saraswathi who dwells in lotus flower, she has the eyes resembles to lotus flower petals, she has the luster of pollen of lotus flower,   I shall meditate upon Goddess Sharadha who has the face resembles to lotus flower; kindly shower your auspicious and eternal presence.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Sarawathi who is seated on her celestial vehicle swan, she carries Veena and scriptures on both the hands, I shall earnestly pray to provide us eternal wisdom and knowledge.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Sharadhadevi who resides on the lush land of Kashmir, I shall earnestly pray to Goddess Sri Sharadhadevi to provide us eternal wisdom and knowledge. 


Annapoorna Sthuthi : -

Oh! Goddess Sri Parvathi who is incarnated as Goddess Sri Annapoorna, she is flawless, she is the darling of Lord Shankara, I shall earnestly pray to Goddess Sri Parvathi to provide Gnana/wisdom and Vairagyam/detachment as alms.
