Sri Gopala Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate supreme upon Lord Krishna who incarnated as Gopala, he has the complexion of dark clouds, his beautiful eyes  has the resemblance to the fresh alluring blue lotus, he is Vallavinandhana/born to cowherd and the delight of cowherds, his beautiful curly hair locks are decorated in feathers of peacock and decked in Vanamala/flowers from the woods as garland on chest, his beautiful dangling ear studs constantly touches his cheeks, he is decked in various pearl garlands on his chest, he is decorated with golden arm lets, anklets and magnificent crown, he has supreme luster, his attractive yellow garments gracefully moves on the cool breeze, he has divine flute on the beautiful lips that produces melodious music in this way he lures hearts of young maidens of cowherds, he resembles bee that takes immense pleasure in the consumption of honey from the lotus like face of cowherds, he entice the hearts of cowherds with his mesmerizing smile.  He is surrounded by  beautiful young maiden of cowherds with marvelous limbs, decked in various attractive ornaments and garments, he is taking immense pleasure in the water sport on the black colored waters of Kalindhi, he enthusiastically immersed in the childhood pranks with the cowherds, he merrily settles down in the middle of cows, he takes great pleasure in the cool breeze of Kalindhi and settles down under the shades of Kadamba tree on the sacred land of Vrindavan, he is seated on the magnificent gem studded throne in the peak of Mount Meru, he is seated on the middle of marvelous dais constructed with precious yellow metal under the Kalpavruksha, he is taking immense  pleasure in the Rasaleela with the cow herds, he is seated on the peak of Mount Govardhana which is packed with various fragrances of fresh alluring flowers of autumn.  He elevated Mount Govardhana as an umbrella on his left hand in this way he defeated Lord Indhra and the dark clouds that caused heavy downpour, he is surrendered by the cattle, he lures the hearts of cows that makes unique sounds and keep their head high after listening to the melodious music on the flute, he is surrounded by the cowherds who carries rope and stick, and sincerely follows his all acts, he is eulogized by the illustrious Rishis and Maharishi Narada who are proficient in Veda and Vedanga, he is Parathpara.  Whoever eulogize the glories of supreme Lord Krishna with utmost faith and devotion during the hours of dawn, noon and dusk would get all their wishes fulfilled, and the worshiper remain fond of Kings and people, he/she will be blessed with permanent wealth and clarity in speech and construction of words.
