Sri Vishnu Dhyanasloka – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahavishnu Vishnu along with his consorts Goddess Sri Mahalakhmi and Goddess Bhoodevi on both the sides,  he has the brilliance of Divakara/Lord Soorya in the early morning hours, he carries conch, wheel, mace and lotus flower in his hands,  he is decked in magnificent crown, armlets and gem decorated ear stud, he is attired in majestic yellow clothes, he is adorned in precious gem decorated Kousthubham garland, he has Srivathsam on his chest and he is the symbol of Universe/Vishwadhara.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahavishnu who has the luster of crores of autumn moon, he carries Conch, wheel, mace and lotus flower in his hands, he resides in white lotus flower, he is charismatic, he is decked in magnificent crown, armlets, garlands made of precious gems and ornaments, gem decked ear stud etc… he is adorned in Srivathsa on his chest, he is decked in precious Kousthubha garland, he is eulogized by Rishis and Sages.

I shall prostrate before Supreme Lord Mahavishnu who is decked in marvelous gem decorated crown, waist belt, Keyooram, Haram/garlands, and various precious ornaments all over his body, he is smeared in sandal paste of supreme fragrance, he is omnipresent, he has the radiance of thousands of Adithya, his colossal form of Vishwaroopa is armed in various fierce weapons on his numerous hands.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahavishnu along with his consorts Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Goddess Bhoodevi, he has the brilliance of numerous Adithya, he carries conch, wheel, mace and lotus flower in his hand, he is unconquerable, he is attired in majestic yellow garments, he is decked in magnificent crown and various ornaments that spreads supreme brilliance, he is decked in Vanamala, Srivathsam and Kousthubham, he is ever pleasing. 

I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who carries conch, wheel, mace and lotus flower in his hands, he dwells in the milky ocean flourished with precious pearl, he is seated on the marvelous throne decked in pearl and various gems, he has the luster of crystal and taking immense pleasure in the rain drops, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Mukunda to protect us.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Vishnu who is serene/Shanthakaram, reclining on the serpent bed/Bhujagashayanam, he is Lord Padmanabha/who has lotus flower on his navel,  he is the Lord of Lords/Suresham, he is the cause for the Universe and its living beings/Vishwadharam, he is omnipresent/Gaganasadhrusham, he has the complexion of dark clouds/Meghavarnam, he is the provider of all the auspiciousness to his devotees/Shubhangam, he is Lakshmivallabha/darling of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, he has the eyes resembles to lotus flower/Kamalanayanam, he is attainable for the Yogis and virtuous through sincere meditation, he destroys repeated births and deaths, he is the Lord of the Universe.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Vishnu along with his consorts Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Goddess Bhoodevi, he has the brilliance of numerous Adithyas, he is decked in sparkling crown, ear stud etc… he is adorned in magnificent Kousthubham and various ornaments, he is attired in majestic yellow clothes, he carries conch, wheel, mace and lotus flower in his hands, he is Lord Mukunda who is worshiped by the whole Universe.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Vishnu who has the complexion of white pearl, he is decked in various precious ornaments, he is charismatic and has the luster of moon, he carries golden vessels filled with water and curd rice respectively.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Vishnu who dwells in the milky ocean and seated on the celestial vehicle Garuda/king of birds under the Kalpavruksha in the pleasure garden of celestials, he carries wheel, mace and lotus flower and one hand in Varadhahastha posture, he has the radiance of precious yellow metal, he is decked in magnificent crown and various ornaments.  I shall earnestly pray to Lord Vishnu to shower his eternal grace on us.

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Vishnu who has the supreme brilliance of Lord Adithya of at the end of Kalpa, he spreads sheen to the three worlds, his eyes has crimson color, his curly hair lock has the color of brownish, he is dreadful to enemies, he has fierce protruding teeth and boisterous voice, he carries conch, wheel, mace, lotus flower, spear, arrows, pasham, angusham etc… He is Adipurusha with the powerful wheel.
