I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha who is the delight of Goddess Parvathi, he is extremely valorous, he is worshiped by all, he is Vibhu who is mighy Lord, all pervading,  he is the protector of Universe and its living beings, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha who gets pleased quickly with the veneration of worshiper, he is worshiped by Vipra/Bhramins, he is worshiped by the whole Universe, he is beloved son of Vishnu and Shambhu,  I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha who has attractive gait of elephant, he symbolizes stream of nectar of kindness, he is too compassionate, he eradicates all the obstacles, he is divine personified as Shastha, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha, he represents illustrious clan, he is divine personified to destroy enemies, he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper,  I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shastha who symbolizes precious ornament that decorates  the crown of Pandya clan, he is divine personified to perform pastime in the great land of Kerala, he eradicates miseries and sorrows of the distressed people, above are the Pancharathna Sthothram/scared verses considered as precious five gems should be recited with utmost faith following strict austerities, it will please supreme Lord Shastha and resides in the heart of worshiper.

I shall always  meditate upon the lotus feet of Lord Shastha who is initiated from the desires of Esha and Keshava, he is the Lord of the Universe, he is too compassionate, he has the luster of full moon, he eradicates all misfortune, adversities, calamities, and destruction.  I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Shastha who is Harinandhana, he is wielded in armor, he has lustrous hair locks, his attractive limbs are adorned in ornaments that make tinkling noises,  I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Shastha who is the son of Hari, he is decked in garlands that gently moves on both the sides, he has attractive nose, red lips and eyes, he is Pramadhadhinatha who is the sustainer of the Universe and its living beings,  I shall prostrate before the  lotus feet of Shastha who is Bhoothapathi/Lord of living beings, he is decked in magnificent earrings that spreads intense luster all over the neck areas, he is decorated with the mark of Pundareeka/auspicious mark on the forehead, he is appeared as a son of Hari and Hara  on the river bed, he symbolizes piousness,  I shall always prostrate before Prabhapathi who is unbound and he has powerful two arms wielded in Kodhanda and arrows, he is extremely valorous, he has supreme radiance of sun in the early hours of dawn,  I shall always prostrate before Lord Shastha who is the Prathinidhi /representative of Mukundha/Lord Vishnu  bluish complexioned, pure and attired in fine clothes and Kalanthaka/Lord Shiva who has won over death , he has the luster of pollen of lotus flowers, he eradicates impurities of the worshiper,  I shall always prostrate before Lord Shastha who destroys the clan of enemies, whose lotus feet are venerated by illustrious Rishis and Sages, he eradicates the severe illness of  wordly existence of the worshiper, he is the son of Puranthaka who is the destroyer of Pura and Muranthaka who is the destroyer of Mura,  I shall prostrate before Prathamayoodhapathi who is supremely charming, he has the luster of alluring flower, he has great effulgence and attractive physical features, he symbolizes peace and he is appeared on Earth,  Oh! Bhoothesha/Lord of living beings, Oh! Karunamritha who symbolizes stream of nectar of kindness/ocean of mercy, Oh! Varadha, who is the provider of abundance of boons to worshiper, he is flawless; he is closest companion of his devotees, Oh! Bhagavan, kindly guide us allthrough the unfathomable as well as intimidating ocean of Samsara.  Oh! Bhoothanatha, Oh! Bhagavan, kindly bless us with perpetual devotion at your lotus feet,  I shall always prostrate before the supreme Lord  who is the Lord of the Universe, kindly guide us to cross the ocean of samsara.

I shall meditate upon  Maha Shastha who has beautiful heavy hair locks resembles to flowers of Kalhara and has the luster of blue lily, his marvelous face has the sheen of full moon, he is wielded in Danda, Angusha, Pasham , and trident,  he is the destroyer of enemies, he is Mahashastha who is supreme Lord, he is the son of Lord Mahadeva, he is imperishable, he carries out the functions of the Universe, he carries out the function of preservation of Universe and its living beings, he causes the deluge at the end of Kalpa, he is Parathpara, he is the protector of three worlds, he is wielded in powerful bow and arrow, he undertakes severe penances, he has large army of warriors of Bhoothaganas, he symbolizes sacred hymns and Veda, he derived from the clan of Maruth,  he is the Lord of the Universe, he  witnesses the deeds of the worlds, he is foremost, he is Sriman/illustrious, he is unfathomable, he is extremely valorous, he is supreme Lord mounted on Simha/ lion, Gaja/elephant, Haya/horse, he is wielded in various weapons, he is independent to act, he is proficient in various branches of knowledge, he has various forms, he is valorous, he is worshiped by all, he is the Lord of living beings, he is the provider of fortune, prosperity, power etc.. he undertakes the preservation of living beings, he is decked in serpents as ornaments, he carries sugarcane bow and arrows of flowers, he has marvelous form,  he is mighty Lord, he is the son of Mayadevi, he is highly honorable, he is illustrious, he is store house of virtues, he is Mahashaiva as well as Vaishnava, he worships Lord Vishnu and Maharudhra, he is beloved of remover of obstacles/Vignesha, Veerabhadhra, Bhairava and Shanmukha, he dwells on the highest peak of Mount Meru, he is surrounded by illustrious Rishis and Sages, he symbolizes Veda,  and auspiciousness, he is the Lord of the Universe, he is the Lord of Ganas, he is the Master of Ganas, he is Mahayogi who undertakes extreme Yogic practices, he is Mahamayi who is great illustionist, he is Mahajjyani who is wise/great scholar, he is eternal, he is Vedashatha who symbolizes Veda, Boothashatha who symbolizes Bhoothaganas, he is extremely valorous and he has boisterous voice, he is decorated in serpents as ornaments on his body as well as on the beautiful hair locks, he has sky as  hair, he is primeval/eternal deity, he symbolizes all Gunas/Sathvik, Rajas, and Thamasic, and he remains without properties as well, he is eternal, he is contented/pleased, he doesnot require any support system, and the whole Universe is dependent on him, he is the commander of Ganas, he symbolizes Chathushashtikala/64 art forms, he represents Rig, Yajur, Sama, and Atharvana Veda, he crushed the pride of Mallakasura, he represents Thrimoorthi/Trinities, he is the destroyer of demons, he represents Prakrithi, he is Purushoththama who is flawless, he is aware of past , present and future, he is omniscient, he fulfils the desires of the worshiper, his eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower petals, he resembles the great tree of  Kalpavriksha/wish fulfilling tree, he is  great tree that represents supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is the provider of fortune, wealth, prosperity, and all kinds of auspiciousness in abundance, he liberates the soul from the miseries and grief of material existence, he eradicates severe illnesses, he protects  lives, he crushes  accumulated pride in worshiper, he symbolizes all Shashthras and philosophies, he is impartial, he eradicates sins of the worshiper, he is inseparable from his consorts Pushkala and Poornna, he is Paramathman, he guides the souls through the righteous path, he has the radiance of infinite number of Adithyas, he is  younger brother to Subramanya, he is powerful, he is compassionate to his worshiper, he is supreme Lord, he is divine personified and he is most beloved of his worshiper.

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Dhakshinamoorthi who have attractive matted hair locks that keeps hanging down, he is decked in crescent moon on his matted hair locks, his throat is bluish in color, his face has intense luster resembles to autmn moon, his charming face is surrounded by the  circle of light resembles to Goksheera/cow’s milk equivalent to the luster of full moon, he has pleasing disposition, he has attractive smile on his face, he represents greatest philosophies, he is adorned  Ganga on his matted hair locks, he is Shiva/auspicious, he is serene, he is decked in marvelous armlets, and various precious ornaments all over his body, he is flawless with superior physical features, he is seated on the magnificent throne, he is adorned in Yajjopaveetha across the chest, he is beautifully smeared in sacred ashes all over the body, he is decorated in serpents as ornaments, he is attired in skin of tiger, he is pure and auspicious, he is seated one leg folded, he is supreme Lord who eradicates the epilepsy like darkness of ignorance in souls, he is seated in an elegant posture with one leg folded, his hands are in Gnanamudhra posture, he is Hara who eradicates the sins of worshiper, he symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, and he holds sacred scriptures in hand, he imparts the knowledge of sacred scriptures, he holds Akshamala/prayer beads and water pot for ablution, he dwells as soul in living beings, he is eternal bliss, he has attained Goddess Shakthi as half of his body, he symbolizes righteousness, he is mounted on celestial bull, he is eulogized by righteous people and Veda, he is surrounded by illustrious Rishis and sages, he is seated under the shade of peepal tree, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he is Lord of Lords who is seated facing on the north-eastern, he symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is imperishable, he is the source of creation and liberation, he is the essence of Omkara, he is seated on the lotus flower, he imparts the supreme wisdom, knowledge of self and knowledge of Athman, he liberates the souls from repeated births, he is Rudra who is supremely compassionate, he always works for the welfare of the living beings, he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, he is supreme Lord Dhakshinamoorthi who is the source of Universe and its living beings, worshiper who are surrendered to the lotus feet of supreme Lord  conducts worship of Lord Dhakshinamoorthi with intense devotion would bring abundance of meritorious reward.

I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who is divine personified as beautiful young daughter of King Kavera, she is embodied as sacred watercourse and she is highly honored by all,  I shall take refuge at the lotus feet of Goddess Kaveri who is lovely, pleasant, and cheerful, kindly be gracious to us.  I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who is worshiped by all the deities, she is pure, she is divine embodied as sacred watercourse, she is Parthpara, she is the purifier of souls, she is flawless, she is divine embodied as sacred water course and her lotus feet are highly propitious in the three worlds, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us. I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri, who is eulogized by Veda, she is pure and has attractive flow, her sacred water course is the shelter place of pious and Yogis, she takes immense pleasure in the nearness of Rangesha/Lord Ranganatha, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us.  I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who is too compassionate to her worshiper, she is the provider of abundance of fortune to worshiper, she is eternal, she is the source of all kinds of auspiciousness on the Earth, she is highly propitious, she is pure, she is also known as Dhakshinadhesha Ganga, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us.  I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri, who eradicates all the evil effects of Kali era, she is merciful, her eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower petals, her sacred watercourse has the fragrance of flowers of Kadamba and Kalhara, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us.  I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri, who is eternal, she is divine embodied as sacred river, she is pure and she is the source of liberation from repeated births, she liberates the souls from the miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, she is originated from the hills of Sahyadhri, she has various forms, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us. I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri, who lined her water course close to the divine shrine, she is one of the prominent sacred rivers on the Earth originated from Choladhesham, Oh! Kaveri, kindly be gracious to us.  Oh! Kaveri, who symbolizes auspiciousness, kindly be gracious to us, Oh! Kaveri, who is purifier of souls, she eradicates the worldly desires of the worshiper, kindly be gracious to us, I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who symbolizes sacred syllable ‘Kakara’ which eradicates impurities in humans, I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who symbolizes sacred syllable ‘Vakara’ which fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, I shall prostrate before sacred river Kaveri who symbolizes the sacred syllable ‘Rikara’ which provides Moksha to worshiper.

I shall prostrate before Mahabhaga/highly fortunate, most venerable, who is embodied as sacred water course, she is Mahadevi who is stunningly gorgeous, she fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, she is divine who provides abundance of merits to her worshiper who takes dip in her holy water, she eradicates all the sins of the worshiper, Oh! Devi, kindly destroy my sins, she is Kaveri/Kaverakanya who is the daughter of King Kavera,  she is beloved  consort of ocean, Oh! Devi, kindly provide us Bhukthi as well Mukthi, she is divine embodied as sacred watercourse, a tributary of river Sindhu, she is ocean of mercy, Oh! Devi, kindly purifies me with the drops of your sacred water course, Oh! Devi, kindly bless with appropriate and virtuous female companion/Sthriyam, virtuous offspring/Sutham, wealth/Shriyam, long life/Ayush, good health/Arogyam, liberates from the debts born with/ Rinamukthi, Oh! Kaveri who is originated as sacred water course from the hills of Sahyadhri, she prominent in the world, she eradicates miseries and sorrows of the worshiper.

Amale/pure, I could well perceive all those evident in the beginning of the Universe, Oh! Devi, listen to me carefully about those sacred hymns which could provide all the auspiciousness, it was composed by Rishi Sadhashiva, Anushtup as its Chandhass, presiding deity is Bhairava Devatha, it is recited to attain Purusharththa/Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha, it is capable to fulfil all the desires of the worshiper.  Goddess Mahakali is the source of Universe and its living beings, she is the Mother of Universe and its living beings, she is embodied as Universe, she is the supreme Goddess of the Universe, she is the essence of the Universe and its living beings, she is the source of happiness in the Universe, she causes  deluge at the end of each Yuga/absorbs the Universe and its living beings, she is Gauri who has fair complexion, she eradicates the sufferings of poverty, miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, she is Bhairavabhavani, she is eternal, she provide excellence in speech and intellect,  she is the provider of Chathurvargaphala, she is virtuous, she symbolizes auspiciousness, she is Bhadhrakali , she is Vishalakshi who has wide and beautiful eyes, she fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, she represents all art forms, she is Neelavani, she is fair and she has attractive limbs, she is beyond description, she provides abundance of wealth to worshiper, she has boisterous voice, she represents all colors, she is stunningly georgous,  she is inseparable from Lord Shiva, she destroyed the demon Mahishasura, she immerses in the veneration of Lord Shiva, she is the delight of Lord Shiva, she is worshiped by Dhanava and Indhra, she symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, she is Sharva who fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, she has most beautiful limbs, she bestow abundance of boons to worshiper/disperse fruit of Karma as well, she has lustrous face resembles to full moon, she has the complexion of dark clouds, she is Kapalini who is wielded in garlands made of skulls, she is Kurukulla who lures the intellect of Vipra/Bhramin, she lures the hearts of worshiper with her mesmerizing beauty, she is highly enthusiastic and takes immense pleasure in the consumption of nectar, her eyes are soaked in the elixir of nectar, she holds skull on her hand and she is decked in garlands of skull, she is divine personified in a dreadful form holding vicious weapon Gadga on her hand, she produces terrible shrieking voices, she is Padma, she has the luster of pollen of lotus flower, she is Kali who is the provider of abundance of boons and shelter to her worshiper, she represents Kalarathri/dark hours of the night, she is Swaha, Swadha, Vashatkara, she has the luster of autumn moon, she has the splendor of autmn moonlight, she has terrible appearance too, her thick and heavy curly hair locks are kept loosened, she has dreadful appearance with perforated matted hair locks and attractive matted hair locks, she is decked in king of serpent, she has colossal form, she is decorated in serpents all over her body, she dwells in the funeral grounds, she is eulogized by Mahanandhi/celestial bull, her eyes are sparkling resembles to flame, she is mounted on corpse, she is worshiped by Siddha and Charanas, she is fond of Bali/sacrificial animal, she symbolizes the sacred syllables Bhur: Bhuva: Sva:, she is Gayathri as well Savithri, she is Mahaneelasaraswathi, she is Lakshmi who is the protector of her worshiper, she is flawless, she symbolizes epitome of beauty, she is attired in the skin of tiger, she is unblemished, she has three ripples above the navel, she is eulogized by celestial Gandharvas, she is supreme Goddess who is beyond description, she is pure, she is great illusionist, she is the source of emancipation, Oh! Maheshvari, above are the hundreds of sacred names of Goddess Kalika, whoever reads or listens to it during the early hours of dawn would attain highest of knowledge and wealth, happiness with the grace of  Devi, worshiper would achieve the status of Siddha and ultimately attain the abode of heaven, worshiper would obtain all that desired, Oh! Maheshvari, whoever reads or listens to  it  for  hundreds of time would achieve Chathurvargaphala,  recitation of glorious verses praising the splendor of Goddess Mahakali and worship of her would bring highest of the meritorious rewards in the Kali Yuga, it would provide the merit of hundred and thousands of years of worship of Goddess Mahakali, and worshiper would attain all that desired.”

Sri Bhairava speaks “ Oh! Devi, shower your mercy upon me, kindly narrates the glorious myth of Mahadevi, who is personified as Kalika, she symbolizes Mahavidhya, it has been highly confidential in all these years.”


Sri Devi speaks “ Oh! Vathsa, I shall narrate to you about the splendor of Goddess Kalika which was not described or seen earlier, it is highly propitious hymns that was not revealed yet.  Goddess Kalika is the mother of the Universe and its living beings, she eradicates the miseries and sorrows of the worshiper and she obliterates intense peril and grief in the era of Kali.  I shall earnestly pray to Goddess Kali to protect me in front,  I shall earnestly pray to Kapalini who is decked in garlands made of skulls, to protect on the back, I shall earnestly pray to Kulla to protect on south I shall earnestly pray to Kurukulla to protect on the upper areas, I shall earnestly pray to Virodhini/who protest against animosity to protect my head, I shall earnestly pray to Viprachiththa who lures the intellect of Bhramin to protect my eyes, I shall earnestly pray to Ugra to protect my nose, I shall earnestly pray to Ugraprabha to protect my ears,  I shall earnestly pray to Dheeptha/splendid to protect my face, I shall earnestly pray to Neela who has dark blue complexion to protect my cheeks, I shall earnestly pray to Ghana to protect my neck, I shall earnestly pray to  Balaka to protect my  arms, I shall earnestly pray to Mathra to protect my hands, I shall earnestly pray to Mudhra to protect my chest, I shall earnestly pray to Mitha to protect my bosom, I shall earnestly pray to Mandaladevatha to protect my Yoni, I shall earnestly pray to Bhrami to protect my matted hair locks, I shall earnestly pray to Narayani to protect to my navel, I shall earnestly pray to Maheshvari who is supreme Goddess of the Universe to protect my thighs, I shall earnestly pray to Chamunda to protect my reproductive organ, I shall earnestly pray to Kaumari /youthful to protect my waist line and knees, I shall earnestly pray to Aparajitha/unconquerable to protect my feet, I shall earnestly pray to Varahi/female force of Varaha to profect fingers/toe, I shall earnestly pray to Narasimhi/female force of Narasimha to protect my Sandhi/joints, let me remain protected by Devatha and let me reamin well protectected with the sacred armor of Goddess Kalika, Oh! Kalike, kindly protect me in south and upper areas of the sky,  Oh! Devi Kalike, kindly protects us always from wild animals and  water, protect us from all the dangers from  south and all the sides, whoever reads or listens to these sacred armor of Goddess Kalika on daily basis  would get relieved from all obstacle, fears and anxiety.”
