I shall meditate upon sacred river Goddess Ganga who symbolizes perfection, auspiciousness, and all kinds of wealth and richness; she is divine consort of Khandaparashu/Shiva, embodied as sacred river in order to perform various amusements, she symbolizes Veda and Vedanga and she is eulogized by them, she has embodied as sacred water course and resides on the matted hair locks of Lord Shiva which is capable to eradicate the sufferings of poverty, miseries, grief, wickedness and cruelty  of worshiper  the moment he/she witnesses the sacred water course, her sacred water course symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, it imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, it eradicates the impurities like a preceptor, her powerful sacred water currents symbolizes wealth and prosperity, her sacred waters has the brilliance of sun in the early hours of dawn, she is Herambajanani who is the mother of Lord Heramba/Ganesha, her auspicious grace  has the capabilities to eradicate commotion, pride,agitation etc.. Lord Hara adorned her powerful water currents in his matted hair lock before she descending down to earth, she has descended down to Earth in order to eradicate miseries and sorrows, extreme fears and anxieties of the living beings, Oh! Amba,  Oh! Bhageerathi, you have decided to descend down to Earth with little pride, as a safest heaven to distressed and desolate people,  whoever whether intentionally or unintentionally  remembers your splendorous sacred water course which has the luster of moon would get relieved from the darkness of ignorance,  your sacred water course  is eulogized by all the deities, Oh! Amba, kindly eradicate our three kinds of sins and miseries, whoever sacrifices wealth,  prosperity and kingdom just like grass, and resides on the sacred river bank and consume the nectar like your sacred waters, would attain immense bliss  and attain highest of the status of Nirvana, in the early hours of dawn kings and chaste women take holy dip in your sacred waters, your river banks are packed with the animals and pious people and blissfully explore through the pleasure gardens, whoever remember your marvelous myths and eulogizes your glories would get relieved from sins and miseries, it is highly propitious to eulogize your glories , kindly reside in the lotus like my face at the time of departing this material world, your marvelous water course flowing sportively with great joy witnessed by multitude of people as well as mountains, you have descended down to Earth in order to eradicate the miseries and sorrows of repeated births, your sacred river bank is capable to shove off all those troubles of living beings, your sacred river banks are the dwelling place of deities, you have descended down to Earth in order to elevate the soul, you are beyond description,  you are eternal, your endless glories are capable to chase away the darkness of ignorance, you are pure, you symbolizes highest of philosophies, your sacred river banks are capable to eradicate worldly bondage.

Sri Adhishankara Sthuthi: – Lyrics and meanings

I shall prostrate before supreme preceptor Sri Adhishankara, who symbolizes auspiciousness, fortune and happiness, he is the son of Devi Aryamba and Shivaguru,  he has lustrous face resembles to autumn moon, he is most desirable, he is adorned in garland of Rudraksha, his forehead is adorned in sacred ashes, vermilion and sandalwood paste, he has great brilliance, he holds Dandam, he is attired in crisp saffron garment. He is too compassionate, he has pleasing disposition, he is divine personified in order to perform various Leela, he is eulogized by eminent Yogis and Sages, he is pure, he is beyond human intellect, he is store house of virtues, he is supreme bliss, he is unblemished,  he is serene, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Shankara who performs the essential function of Universe, he eradicates miseries and sorrows, he is the source of Universe, Oh! Shankara, kindly protect us.   He is supreme bliss,  he represents the ray of light of supreme intellect,  he is omniscient, he symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, he is eulogized by illustrious Rishis and Sages, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Paresha and Parambhramam who protects the Universe and its living beings,  I shall meditate upon  Parambhramam/  absolute Bhramam, who is worshiped by the whole Universe, he is omnipresent, he is the essence of Veda and Vedantha, he symbolizes wisdom and knowledge, he is supreme ascetic, he guides us to cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara, he is beyond Thrigunas, he represents Agamashsthra and he imparts the knowledge of supreme wisdom.  He eradicates the darkness of ignorance and imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, he is Parambhrama who represents the essence of three Veda, he is eminent among Dhvijas, he eradicates miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, he has supreme radiance, he symbolizes greatest philosophies, and whoever venerates his lotus feet would be relieved from distress and all kinds of illnesses.  He is seated on the majestic Mahayogapeedam, he is beyond human intellect, he is pure, and he has no desires, he is void of chillness or heat or sorrow, he is supreme bliss and has pleasing nature, hence Oh! Mortals, meditate upon the lotus feet of Universal preceptor Shankara who can guide us to cross the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence effortlessly.  Oh! Deva, I am completely worn out of conflicts and sorrows material life such as wife, children, relatives, female associates, accumulated wealth, etc.. though it is difficult abandon, kindly shower your compassionate grace on us.  Oh! Prabho, I am completely exhausted with the illnesses caused by phelgam, disappointments, confusion, fear, trepidation, heat, breathing difficulties, intense pain caused by the wounds, joint paints, misapprehension, etc.. kindly protect us from all the illnesses.  I shall repeatedly prostrate before Shankara who is Universal protector and illustrious Kamakodipeedadheesha, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Jagathguru who eradicates miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, kindly forgive all our mistakes and sins. Oh! Sharanya, who is the safest heaven, I shall surrender at your lotus feet, he is the closest companion of the people, he is worshiped by the whole Universe, he is Universal preceptor, he is the source of liberation from repeated births, kindly forgive all our  sins and protect us always.  Oh! Dhayalo, Oh! Bhakthavathsala, I am a mendicant living on alms, you are Dhatha, kindly shower your compassionate grace on us, Oh! Kripasheela, Oh! Shankara, kindly bless us with staunch devotion at your lotus feet, Oh! Jagathguro, Oh! Bhavathbheshaja/superior cure, I am completely worn out of numerous illnesses related to brain, evil eyes, heart ailments, evil spell, infectious diseases, fever, water born disease, etc.. you are the superior cure for all the illnesses, hence kindly eradicate all those illnesses effortlessly, your auspicious grace are capable to make the penniless into wealthiest,  kindly eradicate sorrow of disappointment,  lost, shattered, defeated, and perturbed, Oh! Shankara, kindly protect us, your auspicious grace are capable to bring immediate presence of  Goddess Lakshmi. Oh! Jagannatha, Oh! Deva, Oh! Mahayogi, I shall repeatedly prostrate before you, I have no shelter place other than you, kindly eradicate the repeated births and Jara, Janma and Garbhadhivasa Dhukham,  I shall repeatedly prostrate before Jagathguru who eradicates the darkness of ignorance like sunlight that removes the darkness,  he imparts supreme wisdom and knowledge of self in order to protect the soul from the miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, Oh! Shanakara I am not aware of recitation of Veda or Vedanga, I know to eulogize you with my petite knowledge, therefore kindly forgive my mistakes.  You are my preceptor,  you are Lord Shiva and Shakthi as well, you are my father and mother as well, you symbolizes supreme wisdom and you are my closest companion, you are my shelter place and you are my intellect as well.  Oh! Deva, I am helpless to get out of the miseries and sorrows of worldly bondage and worldly existences without your auspicious grace.  Oh! Dheshika, I am helpless to cross the worldly bondage without supreme knowledge, therefore kindly enlighten me with the knowledge of self with your blissful supreme light,  Oh! Deva, I am helpless, I have completely soaked in the worldly matters and chained with worldly bondage, kindly elevate me from the clutches of worldly existence.  Oh! Prabho Oh! Shankara, kindly reside in the shrine like my heart, I have shattered with intense grief and sorrow, you are the Lord of distressed people, kindly eradicate all those grief instantly, and critical illnesses like epilepsy, leprosy, infectious diseases, and water born diseases,  and evil effects caused by spirits,  which will disappear the moment of your fleeting look fall on the worshiper.  The above are the glorious verses praising the splendor of Shankara who is the Universal preceptor, whoever reads or listens to it with intense faith and devotion would be blessed with virtuous offspring, appropriate companion as wedded wife or husband, wealth, abundance of grains, long life, and good health, ultimately nearness to Lord Shankara.

I shall reverentially prostrate before supreme  Lord Dharmashastha who is  Hariharaputhra,  son of  Lord Hari and Hara, he is Rudrakumara who is beloved son of Lod Rdura,  he is noble, wise, honorable and most excellent, resides on the golden mountain, he symbolizes nectar like magical drink, he is liberal and generous, he is seated on the grand throne of precious yellow metal decorated in nine kinds of precious gems positioned in the middle of Manimandapa made of Vaidhoorya as superior abode, he has pleasing disposition, he is adorned in Laksharasa, and Kumkum, he has supreme effulgence resembles to streak of lightning, he is highly enthusiastic, he is adorned in various marvelous garlands on the chest and various precious ornaments, he is lusterous and adorned in magnificent ear  ornaments, he is mesmerizing and has most desirable appearance, millions of divine musical instruments reverberating across the magnificent hall, he is eulogizes by Maharishi Naradha and illustrious Sages, Lord Vishnu and deities, and illustrious Kings, he is adorned marvelous silk garment, he is smeared in Gorochana/sandalwood paste, agaru, Karpoora/camphor and various highly fragrant musk, he is worhsiped by Vishvavasu and  illustrious Gandharva, he is seated along with consorts Goddesses Poornna and Pushkala on both the sides, he is absolute truth, he symbolizes Mahashasthra.

Oh! Mahashathre, kindly protect us, kindly protect all those passionate devotees, kindly eradicate all our enemies instantly, kindly eradicate evilness caused by  Bhootha, Pretha, Pishacha, Bhramaraksha, Yaksha,  Gandharva etc.. kindly eradicate evil spell or curse and illnesses, kindly eradicate all the evilness caused by the changes in the planetary positions, kindly provide us long life and abundance of wealth.

Oh! Mahashathre, kindly provide the fortune of nearness to all the deities, kindly expel our enemies and destroy them, kindly make us most influential among the people, kindly bless us with good health always.

I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Ghroom’,  all the auspiciousness to Asithanga/manifestation of Lord Shiva, who is extremely valorous and wielded in Gadha, he has smokey eyes, he has fierce protruding teeth, he is adorned in flower garlands, he is attired in marvelous blue garment, he eradicates all the sins and extreme fears  of the worshiper, he is Shivaputhra who is son of Lord Shiva, he is too compassionate.

I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who resides in the peak of mountain, he is ocean of mercy,  he is supreme Lord who is served by numerous animals, he is most splendorous and he is attainable/perceptible for the living and non- livings too, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, he is perceiptable for the people who are meditate upon his lotus feet, he is Adiguru who is divine personified as Universal preceptor and primeval deity, he symbolizes Pranava and seated on the marvelous dais, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who is wielded in small sword, Shankha, Gadha, Parigham, Mudhgaram, Banam Dhanuss, Kshurika, Thomaram, Shakthi and lotus flower, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who is pure and passionate, he has great radiance resembles to Lord Adithya, he has numerous attendants to serve him relentlessly , he has great fame and endless glories, he is wielded in powerful bow in order to eradicate enemies, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who is always surrendered by passionate devotees who loudly eulogizes his glories, his lotus feet are the safest heaven which is the essence of supreme consciousness that imparts the knowledge of self, it is the resting place of the miserable and wretched people, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who is mounted on celestial vehicle leopard, he is adorned in beautiful mark of vermilion and sandalwood paste on the forehead, he is accompanied by the herds of animals, he is the chief of the animal clan, he is majestically seated on the leopard, I shall surrender at the lotus feet of beloved son of Hari and Hara/Lord  Ayyappa, who is Universal preceptor, imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, his eyes are too compassionate, he is incomparable, he provides liberation from worldly existence and repeated births, he symbolizes heaven, he imparts the knowledge of self.
