I shall
meditate upon supreme Lord Ganesha who has protruding tooth/Yekadhantham, he
has great stature/Mahakayam, he is decked in various precious ornaments which
spread intense luster, he has protuberant belly/Lambodharam, he has wide attractive eyes/Vishalaksham. I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Ganesha
who is decked in serpent as sacred
thread/Yagnopaveetham and garland made of Munjagrass, he extends supreme radiance
of new moon. I shall meditate upon
supreme Lord Ganesha, who is the delight of Goddess Ambika and well protected
by her, he is dearly loved by his passionate devotees and he is highly
enthusiastic. I shall meditate upon
supreme Lord Ganesha, who has unique and magnificent physique, he is decked in
various garlands and he has various forms.
I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Ganesha, who has the face resemblance
to elephant, he is the supreme deity, he has wide and fan like ears, and he
carries Pasham and Angusham as weapons.
I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Ganesha who is seated on his celestial
vehicle mouse/Mooshika, he is always at the reach of the Deva and Suras for
their protection, he is valorous, he protects his devotees from the impurities
of lust. I shall meditate upon supreme
Lord Ganesha, who is eulogized by Yaksha, Kinnara, Gandharvas, Siddhas and
Vidhyadharas and he is supreme among the deities. I shall meditate upon Lord Ganesha who
destroys all the perils and obstacles of his devotees, he is impermeable to any
obstruction and he is the provider of all kinds of Siddhis/super natural powers
to his ardent devotees.
Whoever
recites or listens to the Ganashtakam which is highly propitious with utmost
faith devotion would be freed from all kinds of sins, ultimately reaches the
abode of Lord Rudra.
